What do you think of the idea of having a Spitfire in it’s commonly seen camo color on the shirts back centered, encircled by flags from all countries that flew them. The front could have our groups name; Spitfire Brotherhood and number. This would encompass anyone who fly’s a Spitfire and support all Spitfire markings with-in the brotherhood’s squadron.

Thoughts?

Hi Sonny,

The Spitfire did indeed fly during the show and the sight and sound were spectacular. There were a number of different Spitfires which were tested with contra-prop set up during the war but the only version that ever saw production was the post-war FR.47 Seafire. The one in my pictures is a photo recon Mk.XIX which had the original engine and prop replaced with units taken from an Avro Shackleton patrol bomber. Apparently the original 5-bladed wooden propeller is very hard to come by and VERY expensive so the decision was made to swap it for the relatively much more common Shackleton power package. The airplane has since been sold to a new owner in France who has returned it back to stock condition.

WARBIRDRCER: I VOTE on shirts with a collar, a pocket, and RAF Blue.

Warbirdguy: the collar is fine with me as with a pocket. My only concern is how its made. Light weight material
