Almost finished with the plane despite never finding a manaul for it. Just need to set the CG and put spinner on prior to maiden flight.

Finished and at the field this past weekend. Still need to get CG set before flying.

Ultra6a,

Have you flown this plane yet? It's a neat looking plane, something you
don't see every day! Who's the company that kits this plane?
Please keep us informed about it's performace.

I would guess, right on the black stripe on the wing. Better to get some real input though, CG variations can be very tricky and NOT over a broad range on this design.

I still have not flown the plane yet. Seems like every weekend I have other things to do. Hope to give a try again this weekend.

Well my maiden didn't go so well. Checked CG and all seemed well. Buddy of mine took it up for me and it was a handful (still tail heavy). On landing he almost lost it, pulled out at the last minute, but it busted the wheel pants up pretty bad. All in all I guess I'm lucky because that was the only real damage to the plane. Now I'm trying to source out a new pair of wheel pants. Hopefully Hobby King will be able to help me, but I'm not holding my breath on that one.

Sorry for your mishap, but like you said it could have been worse.
Where did you set the CG point? Looks like it would at lease be
at the black trim line or forward of that point.

I guess the wheel pants are not repairable if so maybe
Hobby King will be of help.

Sorry to hear that.
I came across a RC Group discussion that seems talking about the same plane. Refer post #20 for some useful information.

CG was set at the black trim line. I will have to set it further forward to calm this baby down. Guy who maiden it for me is a pattern flyer who has won first place in his division at the Nats. It was all he could do to get it down in one piece.
