Well, guys, had my first TY-28 flight and it was an absolute joy - especially for a heli guy... A couple of questions:

1) the COG - any cool tricks for getting this thing's nose down more easily than just shifting the bat forward and radical triim on the tx?

2) a better battery holster - I'm using the little 150 mAh, 25cs - just don't love gooping them up with velcro. Anybody out there craft a more user-friendly holster for batts this size?

Thanks, and wahoo!

You could get a landing gear set for the Blade mcx and cut the skids off, and glue the remainder to the plane

Good idea, Waffleman. I fly an msr x with the same holder/gear frame... might just be the way to go.

On the center of gravity, do you find yours needs a fair amount of elevator trim? If so, is that how you deal with it?

Thanks again...

Not really, If I have a problem I land and adjust the battery position to get the CG perfect.

these things are designed to be flown with an almost "toy style" radio with button trims. They are not supposed to need much trim.

I'm shy on the rudder, too, KC, but keep her active as I  noticed when a bird loses altitude in a turn a little opposite rudder will put her nose up and keep her from that maddening loss of altitude. I prefer just mellow stuff right now, as I've about forgotten how to fly these birds from being away from the sport for months. I might drive her into the ground with dumb thumbs if I get fancy.
Man, this little T-28  is one kick-bird!
