First off - what a great heli! And quite durable too!

So the thing comes with a 3.7v 500mAh battery. It also comes with a charger with a selectable 0.1A - 0.7A charge current. So following simple electrical theory - a charger charging a 500mAh battery at a rate of .5A (which is 500mA) should take 1 hour.

I set a charge rate of 0.7A (as recommended by the manual), and after a few cycles of the battery, it is charging at a consistant 60-70 minutes to fully charge the battery at a 0.7A charge rate.

Math shows 500mAh/700mA = 0.71 hours, or 42 minutes...so with no loss, I should be all charged up in 45 minutes or soSo Im just curious if other people are seeing 60-70minute charge times on their Blade 120 SR battery, or is my charger either overcharging my battery, or not charging at a true 0.7A charge rate?

Maybe it's a parabolic charge rate and not a linier one? (I have no idea really.. .just speculating)

Perhaps the charges varies the rate based on the amount of charge the battery has?

All good speculation. I guess I ruled all of those more "advanced" charging scenarios out, giving that this is a pretty basic ("dumb") charger.

I do like having the adjustable charger. I can charge at 0.7A when I want to get back in the air in a hurry, and charge at 0.1A overnight to give the battery a nice gentle charge to be nice (and maybe add a few more charge cycles to its life).

Slightly off topic (long day, being lazy and not searching) - is there a clear winner for a site to order extra parts for the Blade 120 SR? I want to get extra rotors, a few extra tail rotors (thing pops off in a hurry!), and the TINY bearing and black bearing cover that goes between the tail rotor and the tail rotor motor...when the tail rotor pops off, so does the bearing and plastic bearing cover...I kind of want to glue the tail rotor to the metal shaft, but that just doesn't seem like the best idea.

I just found MicroHeli and ordered a couple things for my mSRX. Seems like a real nice site. Service seems good as I put a random comment in, one that needed no response, and they commented back when they did the order fufillment. So.. All and all I have nothing bad to say about them and the other forum I'm on a lot of people order hopups from them. And there is always horizon.
