I am building a .25 size stik and want to put a small servo in each wing for flaperons. The plane has a 44" span and will be powered by a O.S. 25FX. I was planning to use Futaba S3114 servos but noticed they are not recommended for fuel powered airplanes. The standard S3004 servos produce 44 oz/in of torque and the S3114 servos produce 21 oz/in of torque. Based on the output torque alone, these look like a viable option but I am concerned about Futaba's recommendation. Looking for advice, this is only my second plane.

I would not go micro sized but mini sized servos. Something in the 16 to 20 gram range or so.

I think these are HD servos, I have (4) that have the same spec's, same look from Hobby King and they are a really good servo.

I have 20 of these and they work great. Not sure I would use them on a 25 sized stik, maybe a 25 sized Cub.

Here is an online conversion site to figure out the torque ratings

For using one in each wing those 21 in-oz Futaba servos would be fine. They may not like vibration but being out on the wing and away from the engine they'll be fine.

Thanks, guys. I was confident in my choice until I actually saw the servos. They are really small; I can easily see why Futaba does not recommend use in nitro powered models. I may go forward with them or select another brand if I can find a suitable mini-servo.

3004 or 3003 is what I use as a common servo for most of my planes...
