Status: offline 		so i have recently gotten into a slash and have been wanting more power out of it. i have a cc mmp out of my tc4 that i am selling as a roller and want to use it. the only problem is that it has a 7700kv motor that needs a new bearing. the 7700 is WAY too much for the 2wd slash so im looking for a motor between 3500kv and 4000kv (10.5 turn to whatever 4000kv is). i want to use the mmp speed control but dont want to spend a ton on a new motor since this truck is only used for bashing right now. later on i may end up getting a high quality motor and racing but for now i just wanna have fun!! so if anyone has any links to some cheaper (sub $30) motors that i can treat like a redheaded step child please post them up!!! btw they should also work with the mamba max speed control as well because im not going to dump a ton of money into a new brushless system. if i were gonna do that id go velinion.

Status: offline 		The Tacon 36mm motors are pretty decent for the money, and they're about 30 bucks shipped from hobbypartz.com. They have a 3950? or something kv motor that should be dandy in your truck.

Status: offline 		ThunderbirdJunkie had the 3200kv in his SC10, and it was pretty quick and ran cool. Couldn't put enough gear on that sucker to slow it down..massive torque. Performed great while it lasted.

Status: offline 		About 4 months of racing twice a week. The bearings needed to be replaced, which is easy enough, but they are a goofy size (same size as the main shaft bearings on an Align T-rex 450). Gave it to a kid at the track shortly thereafter, and he put it in his Slash and it demagged soon after.

Status: offline 		only issue with getting a tacon is hobbypartz hasn't had them in stock for awhile (been looking for a 7t since octoberish for my pede 4X4)
also I believe its the 3660 not the 2858 that is recommended for the slash
Got a few of the 4000kv versions of http://www.hobbypartz.com/ezrun-sensorless-brushless-motor-for-1-10-car.html (the 3300kv version) and can't complain about them at all

Status: offline 		If you look at Jang's comparison of the Tacon with the Velineon they performed pretty much the same and it was the 3200kv 3650 motor. The 3660 will run cooler and have more torque but the 3650 will perform just as good.
