It's good to see combat and pylon racing going on again in Denver. I like number one better.

428 for the following reasons until something changes 1) That's all we have. 2) None of us travel to other races anymore. 3) No one travels to our races anymore. 4) Why should all of us locals buy new motors just to race against each other like the day before?

Sounds like fun!

A few questions, What rules are you running for the SKYRAIDERS ( Club-40) I assume. We have been running the RCPRO Club- 40 rules for years on a two pole 400 ft course.

Same question for the EF-1class

We follow club-40 rules, but we have yet to turn anyone away for variances! Basic participation is the goal. We fly the 3-pole short course. Our dedicated race field is no more so we are now pylon racing gypsies borrowing fields where we can. The dates and locations on the flyers are null and void.

We have the new dates and locations posted at www.AirparkElite.com.

EF-1 is flown on the 3 pole short course as well. Maybe 5 or 6 will compete (same numbers as Skyraiders).

The long time racers in the area normally bring their AMA 428 planes out just in case we have enough to fly a few heats - nothing official. Not enough of us have 426 set-ups and in fact, most of us are still flying the Nelson short-strokes.

Racing participation in the area has been at an all time low. We were hoping to kick start it this year, but the loss of our dedicated race field won't help. Let me know if you need more info.

Kurt

Kurt:

I guess this means May race is cancelled?

The web site shows Aug 18 at top of page, but the calendar says August 11 (and still ahs May race as well).

I would be there for 426 or 428, your choice.

Chuck,

From what I know, the only race on the calender is the Aug. 18 race at MAS (just north of Denver International Airport). I wouldn't expect more than 3 or 4 with 428 planes. Same with EF-1s. But if you do make the drive, bring your 426 set-up while the rest of us fly our Nelson short-strokes, or you can give us a 1-lap head start. Someone has been doing much more practicing than the rest of us little piggies.

I have a 428 engine, maybe I can bring that up there. Too bad on your field.
