Jim thanks for the help. I know that a lot of pilots are reading this thread but are not answering by posting here. I wish they would because if we run out of food and drinks it won’t be our fault.
The plan is to have the pylons up by Friday so those that come early can practice and get in the grove. We will move them farther apart during the night so those Hot Shots will cut out. Ah! That home field advantage.

OK all you club-40 sky jockeys get your game face on, the first race of the season is just 5 days away. The airways have been too quiet for such an auspicious event. Let’s talk it up! Just to give everyone an even chance for the first place and fast time trophies, I have not practices in the past two weeks and my eye exam last month shows that I now have 20-40 vision. Now what more can I do to level playing field.
So far we have 14 pilots indicating that they will be at our race. Two more will make a perfect 4X4 matrix and six more will make a nice 4X5 matrix.
Let’s race!

I would like to congratulate Jason Duda 1st place Jason Oliver 2nd place and Kin Hopson 4th place in the Club-40 race today at the Georgetown field. There was heavy carnage with 8 or 9 planes out from midair’s Including my primary Raider! There was some really good racing outside the destruction!...............:O/

The Georgetown Club 40 race was a huge success and the weather gods finally heard our prays the winds were light and mostly straight down the runway. We had 19 pilots battling it out for bragging rights and one of our custom made coasters/plaques in the shape of the State of Texas. The racing was very close as you can see from the times posted. We flew four rounds of preliminary heats followed by A,B,C, &D main heats of the top 13 pilots. At the end of the day the results of the A main are as follows.
Place pilot best time
1st Jason Duda 1:2319 *
2nd Jason Oliver 1:2562
3rd Gary Fisher 1:312
4th Ken Hopson 1:295
Fast time of the day went to Jason Duda with a 1:2319.
The results of all the heats are as follows:

I have been covered up with work and my little business, so it doesn't leave much time. Also it's hard to get to a race when 200 miles or so offshore. I'm sorry to miss them but I'm paying the bills!! Don't worry I'll be there whipping the Jason's soon enough.

Ah be nice; Skully's still a Legend even if he doesn't show up to race, the only difference is that we run out of material to talk about when he doesn't show up.

What's bad, is I have gone on, or back to other other things. Back to my first love, motorcycles! I have my own little shop, and stay pretty busy with it and racing them when I'm in. Plus I have gone back to shooting, so that just eats up time in a big way! Lets just say I'm taking a little vacation from pylon. But before ya know it I'll be back.

I'm pushing, Hornady A-Max 168 grain, with IMR4895, out of my Remington 700 in .308. I was looking at a MkII target in .223, but I don't like the scope mounts, so I'm back to either a Savage or another Remington.
