Thanks for the info. I found another 2200 mah battery that's only 101mm long, so getting that 1mm to fit wouldn't be a huge problem.

I think I'm going to pass on the car for now. I'm extremely tempted, but having to wait so long for parts and having questionable parts support (always on backorder, etc) makes me shy away from it. It looks awesome, though.

It's not going to fit without removing all the battery clips, posts, holders, etc, and even then it'll be tight. The biggest problem you have with larger batteries is that they sometimes vibrate over and touch the spur gear. Just be aware of that, and make sure that there's no way for it to touch.

I happen to have the Monster Beetle version of this car from Turnigy, and I could install a 2200mAh Lipo battery by removing some plastic parts from the battery bay. These parts are held in place by two screws each. I felt no difference in the balance of the car with these larger batteries.
