I am happy to announce that the BARKS Club, based out of beautiful Elk Hills ButtonWillow Airport (location of previous CA Jets) will hold an Open House Jet Event on March 29 thru April 1, 2012. This will be an informal fund raising event for field improvements. BARKS will provide flight line control, exactly as in past CA Jets, other than that it is a very simple "show up and fly to your hearts content event at the best flyIng space for turbines on the west coast! Bring your pop up tents & grills & let's have a blast! Pilots fee is $30. As an added bonus for anyone who is not already a Barks member, the pilots fee will also provide you a membership in the Barks club for the event as well as the rest of 2012! So, all pilots will be club members! Any questions or to confirm your attendance, please post on this thread or PM me. Looking forward to seeing everyone! David S

We've had some inquiry's regarding pilots being able to fly full scale in to the event. As a condition of use, the field is required to be closed to full scale traffic for the duration of the event. As such, no full scale landings or takeoffs will be approved from 8:00am Thursday March 29th thru 5:00pm Saturday March 31. There are two other airports within 30 minutes that could be used. We can help to arrange transport for pilots and their equipment from those airports to the field. David S
