The 5360 installed in my 1/3 scale L-4 was flown previously with a Jeti 90 Opto ESC... Since these seem to be no longer available I ordered the Castle Creations Phoenix Ice HV 120 Brushless ESC.

I was told that the timing of the Castle ESC does not match the timing needed by the AXI. Has anyone else experienced this? My ESC should be here next week (weather permitting) so I can try for myself...

TIA!

Make sure you got the HV2. The HV1 has to be sent back to Castle for updating.

And invest in the Castle link, makes programming a breeze.

No biggie changing the timing if need be. I've had a couple of set ups that I had to play with timing, and a few of the other settings to get em to play nice with some bigger motors.
When in doubt, call Castle. Joe has always been a great help in getting em squared away for me.

Thanks for tip about calling Castle I will likely do so since this is the biggest, baddest, brushless motor I have ever seen. And yes the new ESC is an Ice 2 HV 120. Maybe it's a little overkill, for the 5360, but I'd rather not be stressing the ESC...
