Will the AC tent be up for the weekend sauna? It's been over a hundred most days here in central VA for over a week. Al Gore must be thrilled.

Marty

The AC tent went up today, and the AC will be installed Sunday.

Well, it looks like I'm gonna make it after all! A little "gentle persuasion" from James at FEJ. Can't wait to see you all there.

Hey Lewis I like your weather better than what AccuWeather is predicting.

The good news is the rain is out of the extended forecast, I hope it holds!

See you Tuesday Morning

Lewis,

What can you tell us about the tours? Do you have tour guides already or do you want pilots to volunteer to act as guides? Will the tours be confined to the taxiway or will the spectators be walked under the tents?

Regards,

Jim

Only pilots will do the tours.  A few have volunterred already...Can I count on ''Lucky Pierre''?

Please let us know if you want to lead a tour on the 13th-14th.  It will only take about 30 minutes of your time.  Shelley will make announcements during the day about this.

Penultimate day in the office, and for a change its throwing it down with rain here in the lovely UK. More flood warnings being issued, and more wet weather forecast. All the more reasons I can't wait to get on that plane Sunday morning. Chuckasouras should be rolling in with the fleet anytime soon. So club Tropical should be set up and ready to party. The F-105 is coming a long. Bob is putting in some serious hours to try and get it done. Not sure how thats going to work out. Luckily Chuck has a whole trailer full o fun, so we should have enough to fly and keep us busy.
Regards Al

I just got in a case of Shell 500. I'm going to bring 5 extra for myself, does any body want me to bring some for them? The cost was $11.00 per qt delivered to my door. I'm packing the van and travel trailer now and I'm planning to leave early Saturday morning, so let me know.
See everyone soon.

Larry and I pulled in last night (Thursday) thought we would be first here. How wrong we were, we were 4th. There was a good party and we stared the foamie night flying. Back at the field now with a light breeze and good light. Hope to Jet fly very soon. Look forward to seeing who arrives today.

Ron, no oil but how about a few loaves of Mancinis Italian bread?

That just may outdo the McMiller breakfast sandwich LOL

Exactly two years ago...at 2:50 in the afternoon I landed my Lightning after making another fun flight with it and found my phone ringing. I answered it to my wife sort of frantically telling me "get home...the baby is coming!" (a week and a half early sort of in my defense...LOL).

Well, a little bit of panic...a few phone calls made and I was out of there...leaving my planes, RV, trailer...everything...sitting right where I left it and heading to Florida.

7 hours after the call I was standing in the hospital in Boca Raton looking at out little Angel...arriving at the hospital about 40 minutes after she took her first breath. Today she is two years old, loves R/C planes (yes, my wife is not too happy about that...ahem) and according to Lewis is the Original and Official "Jets over Kentucky Baby".

Life...it's really good sometimes...

See you all there!

Boli

PS. Zoom in on the map and you will see exactly where I was at the moment Marley was born.
