Catching up on the thread, I just read your post Bob..... Thankyou very much for your kind words. I am happy to be of help, as I get to meet some great people along the way. It was Kentucky last year when I first spoke with you, and since then it has been a blast hanging out and getting to know you.
Every flight I get with your F-14 it gets better and better ( Remember the first flights at BITW ) I would love another few flights to dial it in, and would really love to put a gyro on roll command for when the wings sweep back... So roll on best in the west.
Regards Al

Rich, if you are going to rebuild your Torus OR get another one... consider adding 3-4" to the fuse front.. this neat trick allows you to balance the beast with "0' lead up front SO flying is better esp climbing and of course it lands even better and takeoffs are shorter see link here... http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_10778448/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm

If anyone has some good up close photos of B1 Bob's F-14, T-45, or Ali's F-105 Thunderchief, send them to photos@b1modelproject.com.  I have seen some already but I would rather ask.  I will even credit you on each one on our website.  This year I didnt have my long lens.

Thanks,
John

That's a little more than half of my postable shots, more to follow... have to take a little break from the latent RCU posting routine

If anyone call tell me what kind of plane this is ,i would appreciate it. I took this pic as it was getting ready to taxi out . it has a chunky fuselage and stubby wings . I also noticed the spindly landing gear . Not much to look at but it flys good. I think i heard someone say SMILLER . ROFL gotcha bad Bro !!

Bob, Marty, Rich, et al. thanks for the nice words.

Bob: get your Thud repaired for Waco, less than two months! Should be a breeze for you!

Rich: Ah yes, refilling the flask as we speak, got some errands to run and don't want to be caught out sober! Thank you and JIm for the enthusiastic support of my install on the flash! And to think... I had just been tidying up under the cockpit before the trip!

Goose: Go Frogs! Great to meet you and Ron Ballard, it was awesome to chat with Ron on all the in's and out's of our obsession. Hope you make it back to DFW someday.

Jonathan: Had fun solving the world's problems beginning with youth! Great to see you and the Mrs as always.

Ali: you are an inspiration to us all, I always enjoy even a few words of what is on your mind. You are a technician and a real performer - combine that with a people person and there you are - the whole package. You deserve all the accolades you get and more.

Lewis: Again, you have outdone yourself! Can't wait until the next one!

George,

To tell the truth I was thinking about your extended nose Torus, and I thought what the heck.... I'll just slam mine into the ground and break off the nose so I could extend it easily
