Have a new Slipstream MXS and am trying to mount my DLE30 rear carb in the plane. Have cut a large hole in the firewall and it fits, but am having a problem with the throttle and choke linkages interfering with each other. Have tried turning the carb up side down, but that does not seem to cure the problem. I know this has been done many times by others. Looking for some suggestions and photos if you have them.

Thanks,

Diedrich

I have a DLE30 on a 25% MX2.  With mine and my DLE55's, I've always mounted the throttle arm facing up to remain clear of the choke arm underneath it, this allows for an easy manual choke install too.  It looks like yours is pointing down?  Your firewall looks pretty small but you may be able to face the arm up.  I would beef up the inside too if you havent' already.  I put my throttle servos in the engine box right behind the firewall and use about a 3" arm at least 4-40 size.

Flip the phenolic arm over to have the throttle rod in a pull-to-open instead of a push-to-open setup. Them you should be able to do it. Your pics are not very clear though

I have a build thread on a plane much like yours
I used a bolt with a nut as a spacer and then a ball link to give me the clearnce I needed.
I didn't want to turn the throttle arm around as it would of really weaken my firewall..
1st I put the ball link on a bolt then a nut and then threaded the bolt on to the choke arm are after applying thread lock.
The bolt self tapped the choke arm.
this has worked quite well.

Thanks, everyone for the great suggestions. I did take off the extension arm on the throttle arm and then had the clearance I needed. Have had my maiden flight and landed in one piece.
