after a 700km day trip i have my new toy in the house

a 1:4,2 Northrop F-5 Tiger. The model is new, and needs only a little outside cosmetic, Decals, Weathering... and so on.

The perfect toy for the 2012 season!

Were is the kit from (nice scheme by the way !) ?
(I have a friend that just ordered a F5 from Tomahawk, the nose on your F5 does not look similar to the Tomahawk ?)

the Kit is from the molds who sells now Tomahawk-Design...

The Nose is from a F5 "E" Tiger, there are different versions during the building time.

Nice F-5, but it looks like an A-model to me, the E has the flat wide shark like nose, and also the larger leading edge extensions.

@ Pondus:

yes, sorry. It should be the A - Type. My mistake.

@ Andrew:

100 Points. You are the first who saw this. This was the reason for the buy!! The Finish match with my lovely working trousers!

Gratulations. Like it a lot
I'm the guy who ordered the F5 from Tomahawk ( 2 turbine version ). From their HP they seem to use the "shark nose" ie "E"-type.
What turbine(s) are you planning to use?
It looks like an extra exhaust between the two ? ( Like on the ES's )?
What about the UC, brand ?

I hope you will describe your build ( assembly ) in here. I will follow it closely. Pictures are allways nice ( please )

yes, but its not scale for the powering... and we don´t want to fly supersonic

180-220 N Thrust will be scale i think. More is not necessary.

Hi F-5 fans,

just would like to show you my F-5 from Tomahawk Design. It´s the "real" F-5 Tiger E II - version and powered by two JetCat P120. Plenty of thrust and outstanding flight performace:

Cheers !!
Peter

Very very nice, both of them :-)
Going for "Sundowners" aggressor scheme myself though, but haven't decided what color combination to use.

Any chance of some pictures from the internals ?
I'm very interested in how you have planned disassembly for transport ( power/air connections types/brand ) if planned at all.
Have some ideas, but some inspiration would be welcome :-)

To get close to the CG, placement of components would be of interest too.
