I am new to rc helicopters and am wondering what to buy. I have been looking around and have found three that I think are good, the Honey Bee v2 (http://www.xheli.com/ne4ches2redh.html) , the venom ozone elite (http://www.rcplanet.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=VNR6057&click=107101&Click=106800&gdftrk=gdfV23720_a_7c1734_a_7c7524_a_7cVNR6057) Or the Blade Scout cx (http://h1070257.hobbyshopnow.com/products/description.asp?prod=BLH2700) . Any sugestions or help on other helicopters is appreciated. Thank You.

I would say none of the three.
The Honey bee will be too difficult for you, a beginner.
The Venom is just a 3ch, and most probably with no spare parts.
The Scout is just a 3ch that is overpriced.

I would suggest a Syma S107(G) if you want an indoors (micro) helicopter. Easy to fly, does not break, cheap and can fly in a tight space. It is not really dangerous if you have a contact.
If you want something bigger than the S107 then go for a 4ch coaxial helicopter.

If you want a bigger helicopter that can fly outdoors ( *at calm weather) then I would suggest an Esky Big Outdoor Lama.
It has spare parts, a must have if you want to spend more than what the Syma costs.

*only Collective Pitch (CP) helicopters can fly in a  windy weather but those helicopters are not any good for a beginner. You will not fly it, as you cannot fly it, only crash it.

Well, I don`t know about its durability, problems, etc. But as I have seen on some videos it is comparable to the Esky E500.
Maybe you should search for a thread of the MD500, you can find more info about it.

You can fly indoors any 4ch coaxial, no matter the size, if only it is a good flier.
Well, a smaller sized is easier, or better say safer to fly in a room. But there is no problem to fly the Big Lama or the E500 or the MD500 (as I said I know nothing about its characteristics, only that it is the same size with the E500).

I ve had the same problem when I started to fly Helis.

I would suggest to go for the best Collective pitch heli, TRex 450 sport is a very good choice you can afford, a flight sim, a mid range Tranny.

start with the sim first before you any attempt to fly the Heli.
learn to setup the heli, there is a lot free material on the web, where you can learn to setup the heli to be tame.

most important, join a club and get someone to guide you through everything.

this will shorten your flight experience and make the flying more enjoyable.

Yes, you can start with co-axial, fixed pitch helis. IMO, the dont never offer the same feel as CP Helis + the Tranny that comes with them is a waste of money.

hope that helps

I like the Blade MSR, or for something a bit bigger the Blade 120 SR. I've never tried an MSR x, but it looks pretty cool, as well...

I have an MSR and it's great for indoor flying. Pretty durable (except landing gear breaks pretty easily) and fairly stable. I would guess the stabilized MSR x is even more stable.

I moved to the MSR after getting pretty decent at an ESKY Lama V4, and it wasn't too big of a jump in skill level requirement. The MSR was definitely more agile!
