i agree, my friends rustler is very nice and he has only borken the plastic bottom of his shcok and actually he didn't even break it, he just lost it while we were running our cars at a construction site. personally i like the feel of the gt better and the layout of it without the upper chasis but the rustler is a very good truck

the GT is better for racing, but the rustler is way faster. jus depends what the guy wants.

*sigh* keeping my mouth shut on this. I wish grampi was in this 1 to back me up :O he is probably 1 of the few who has a 50+mph RC10GT, and taht required quite a bit of work. its not a sad RTR version.

i agree with casey. i have a gt with an ae15 and 65/15 gearing and with speed paws on the street mabye 35 , 40 if i'm goin downhill and a car doin 40 is pushing it. it does handle like a dream and i would say i'm at top speed mabye 10% of the time anyway so who cares? top speed should never really matter in an off-road vehicle

My son's GT with a CV-r15 and 18/66 gearing went 47 mph over a timed 100 feet several times out of about 20 tries and it was leaned out big time. Under the same conditions my GT with a CV-r 12 geared 16/66 went 42mph. Still not 52mph like the Nitro Rustler. Perhaps your friends NR is not going as fast as it should.

sigh... lets get anal now. Ok you payed to much to get your restrictor and crpa taken out. Now go pay half or even 1/4th that mamount for a clutch and u got 52 mph easy, and also the speeds given by traxxas are UNDER rated. The tmaxx has been seen at 44 mph many many times, but they advertise 40. the rustler goes over 50 stock many many times. u guys are posting different gearing on your RC10GT's, also measuring in an inacurate way. These are RADAR GUNS. sigh... ill stop, becuase ignorance is bliss

alright sorry man, i havne't used a gun or gps or anyting, you may be right, it just may be that his top speed is better but the straight isn't long nuf 4 him to get up to round 50. but i didn't pay 1 cent to get my restrictor out, my lhs is awesome and does so much stuff for free. my gt is my first car so maybe it's just so fast compared to my old TYCO cars, lol.

my Terra Crusher hits about 28-30 mph depending on the day, but that seems horribly slow to me. Afterowning a 12th scale car, nothing seems fast anymore. Now my 4tec pro w/ .12 nova rossi, that was fast but anyways going off topic now.

My brother-in-law has a 2.5 rustler and his would not outrun a RC10GT rtr that another guy at the track. Both were stock. Not saying the GT was faster but the 2.5 did not pull him......

I completelt agree with the Nitro Rustler OUTHANDLING the GT, and it does it beautifully! I watched a GT in action, or at least lack of. I was unimpressed with GT. It seemed very unstable and the suspension was that of a Radio Shack car. As far as the XXXNT, it's VERY FRAGILE, in many aspects, from the suspension to the rear diff gears! As a die hard Nitro Rustler, I will without question, put it against any XXXNT or GT, and dare either truck to out handle or out perform the Nitro Rustler. I have invested well over $700 in my Rusty, and besides being damn near bulletproof, it laughs at the competition every weekend at the local track. Should you ever look for an electric truck, and want one that as well outhandles and out performs the rest, look for a Traxxas SRT, it's simply amazing and in my opinion, technologically ahead of the rest, even after a design aged over 10 years. As for that matter, I have a Traxxas TCP, a buggy, and it's just unreal, and it too is ahead of it's time! Traxxas said it best...the one to watch!
