Let me start of by introducing my self. i am new here and new to the world of RC FE Boats. I started out with an AQ Motley Crew and love the boat. However i had a few issues and was looking for some expert help and tips.

First i rewired the esc to run parallel instead of series because i already had two 5000mah 4s lipos. and i had to replace the prop with a GR 42x55 because the stock one broke on the first trip out.

I have taken the boat out about 4 times and all first 3 times i flipped the boat over. it was pretty frustrating. i didn't know if it was the boat or the driver (me). and also it was taking a long time to plane.
so i have done the following mods which something seemed to have helped.

1. Scuffed the bottom (400 grit then finished with 600 grit wet)

Scuff by Djflipnautikz
2. lowered and leveled the strut( seems to have helped starting from a dead stop because it planes faster)

Untitled by Djflipnautikz
3. Sharpened the rudder

Bent? by Djflipnautikz
4. positioned the batteries a tad more forward and outwards ( seemed to help with the flipping)

Also here are two videos of her running, sorry for the quality i was using my phone and my 5yrd old sone was doing the recording.

Mine does that if I turn to aggressive, it's more driving imho. You can turn down the d/r on the radio so there isn't as much rudder throw, if you have a radio that has expo you can add some expo to slow down the movement around the servos neutral point and take away the immediate aggressiveness of the turn. You also can tilt/angle the rudder back so that it doesn't "grab" as much and creates more of a slide into the turn instead of a hard sharp cut.

I ran mine yesterday for the first time and it ran fantastic i would say you might be flipping the boat if your turning to sharp , i have not flip on a turn or blown over yet , but i did notice going lefts it spun out , Like Diesel said i turn the rate down on the rudder , turnning rights was good no spin out so i left the rate alone , as far as getting on plane the first run I had it too nose heavy ( lipos too far forward ) and it would it not get on plane , move lipos back as far as possible , I also run the my strut level , the cg was on the money thats a must if you want the boat to get on plane , good luck with that , hope that helps .

well i use two 4s batteries 5000mah in parallel. So i get 10000mah total and have about a 10 min runtime.

I have made some adjustments on the boat and believe it was the aggressive turning that was causing rollovers. I have turned down the steering rate and can now turn at full speed. Wide turns of course but it is cool.

I still have some COG adjustments to do. My MC planes pretty well but this weekend it was bobbing quite a bit. Here is a video of the latest run i had.

In this video i had no rollovers, however i did have a blowover when i was going WOT against the wind and hit a small wake left by the boat. I didnt get it on video but i think it was just because it was too windy.

You see around the 0:25 - 0:28 part it is jumping up and down, why is that??

From looking at the video at the time frame that didn't look bad at all and looks like a typical little cat bob. Could be slight ripple in the water, could be going into the wind. Number of factors. Didn't look outta control by any means to me... Start turning with the hull instead of fighting against it in the turns meaning turn right instead of left. First have was backwards then you started turning right.

This is best running hull and even she has a occasional little bounce.
