well here is the cut down boat.the biggest benefit should come at the higher speed that we can get from electric motors where that new thinner airfoil will allow for higher speeds along with just in general a much lower profile.

I like the cut down version. No real speed advantage over the stock hull but it sure looks a lot better to me. FE doesn't need the high freeboard that gas engines often do.

Have to disagree about no speed advantage using cut down hulls,my own Arrow hull saw an 8 mph speed advantage when cut down lower over the full height version using the same engine and same prop.

I think the biggest benefit will come from the thinner airfoil in the wing, not the height of the free board. it does matter on aircraft, so i hope to see a similar results, I will probably never run the 2 side by side to ever really know, but i am happy with the look.
