Im looking at getting into nitro. I have tuned a few 3.3s and i think i can handle it.

Im looking at getting one of these two buggies. But my question is which?
Im looking just to bash and maybe tool around on a track every so often.

Im wanting the best engine and easiest to tune engine.. which should i go with?

Both i can get parts for (i work at hobbytownusa).

It's a tossup.  Either one is fine.

The Hyper has a 135cc tank and the LX2 has a 145cc gas tank.  Strictly  speaking, both are illegal for racing.  The LX2 has larger shocks.  Engines are probably about equal, although I'd give the nod to the LX2.

I would go for either too. Both are great entry level buggies. The Hyper 7 has(had?) more mods available; in its heyday, it was THE 1/8 buggy and it has been to 1/8 worlds a time or two, so you can find more mods for it, though most will only be found on ebay used.

Looking on EBay, there are actually more parts available for the LX2.

are both engines easy to tune?

if the lx uses a force engine it will be slightly easier to tune, however all the engines OFNA has RTR on thier 1/8 stuff is pretty reliable.
