The first year, 1500 + people for two days! Even with the rain in the area all week and weekend the fly-in stayed dry. The forecast kept many from traveling due to possibly cancelling but the ones who did WILL BE BACK and be bringing others!
Plan on it for next year, this is the fly-in to go to on the east coast. Where else but the home of the J-3 cub!!!!
Check it out and make your plans now!

For those of you who have seen the website and our special guest, I will be meeting with William T.( Bill) Piper Jr. tomorrow and will be inviting him back to the event for 2004. His autograph is priceless being he is at 92 yrs. young the last remaining William T. Piper! If you make it to the event there is a chance to get a real piece of piper history( his autograph!) he signed planes, hats, shirts, ect for 2 hrs at this years event!

Along with a lot of other special attractions, we are going to incorperate into the 2004 event, there will be a large craft show run by the wives of the club. This will help be great for the guys who comes from out of town for the weekend to bring the family. Everyone will have things to do! What do you think?

Hal, have you ever considered hosting a 2 day Giant Scale (1/4 or larger) Piper event?

Just think of the possibilities...

John:
We had four guys travel from Long Island to the event this year. The got the farthest traveled award and believe it or not they drove home the same day and are coming back next year. We allow all planes to fly at this event and next year promises to be a LOT bigger, we have Model Airplane News doing a story on this years event and I am sure that will bring the guys out! So I hope we can get you to come next year!
Thanks for your comments!
