Hey guys, what do you all think of the art attack snowmobile. Does anyone have it? How fast is it? Is it worth the high price?

I get a decent Amount of snow, but would rather have something that I can drive in both conditions.

I have an art attack with a picco sport .21 in it. For the 3 or 4 times a year I use it, it's great. I pull it out after a hard day of trail riding while having a few cool ones.

If you want a novel toy that runs pretty good in hard pack snow, I say go for it (I did).

To be honest, I've never really payed much attention. If you give it too much throttle too fast, you risk burying the track. Where I run mine, I've never wound it out. My best guess is around 15-20 mph.

My father and I came across an Art Attack mobile, I think it had a Hyper .21 8P in it and boy it was neat looking, we get plenty of snow in the winter season. He wanted to get it but didn't bother until it was too late. I've seen people convert their T-Maxxes or monster truck with front sleds and rear paddle tires and I bet that would work just as well.

Does anyone have a video of an art attack snowmobile?? Im thinking about selling my hpi nitro mt and buying one. So if anyone has one... are they fun, run good? I would be running it on packed snow/ice 90% of the time. How well do they jump? Thanks

they are really not built for jumping... the suspension is pretty limited.... but who knows i have never seen one run... i wanted one way back when they first came out.. but i haven't heard much of them since... the one reason i am not getting one, is the aftermarket support... i see no online hobby shop selling them OR their parts that often..... so if i buy one, and break it.... i don't want a peice of junk.

I watched a guy at my LHS put one together last year. The idea is good but the materials seemed kind of shotty and the instructions were pretty poorly done. I don't know if this is something they have fixed but I wasn't very impressed by it.

RC Nitro did an article on it a while back:
http://www.rcnitro.com/rn/articles/art_attack.asp

Here's a video of it in action:

So dagass do you think it would be good? strong enough to take a good beating? How do you think it would run with an 8 port stuffed in it? I think it deff. looks cool. I would like to talk to someone that has one or had one just to see if its any good or not. Dont want to get stuck with something cheap and junky!

rc10gt,

It looks cool but I think you'd have more fun putting some paddles on the back of your GT and throwing those skiis up front. After watching that video, I can't say that I would be in any hurry to find one but you never know. If you can find a way to convert it into a beer delivery vehicle, then I say go for it!

instructions are bad.
slow,slow, overheat,expensive.
i just started one of them and ran for 2 minutes in the snow, and put it away and got the savage out for some fun.
i think it will be better on ice with the belt studded then on snow. dialed in it should work better.

ok
on ice it is a lot better.flips easy, fairly fast with a studded tread. in snow it was bogged down and overheated but on ice it was better.
