Status: offline 		A full option Mato with 2.0 gears, Metal suspension, and a Benedini sound system and Radio will run you $650. It will run and sound as good, but the point is they all start getting up in price when you trick them out.

The Mato has a couple of ugly flaws to fix as well, so by the time you factor in that, it is pretty much a wash between the two. To me the deciding factor is what type of suspension do you want to model. IF it is VVSS, you might as well go the Mato Kitbash route. IF it is HVSS, then Tamiya is the way to go.

RE cars.

Don't forget brakes.They become the deciding factor after a few laps.

AND, it's fun modifying a Heng Long tank too. With a well thought out plan (and equipment) you can have a one of a kind tank to battle with ... even on a budget.
