That's sweet, nice job man!

Chris designed and cut my TJ F-16 stand and another for my Eurofighter, these stands are great! I strap my jet down with tie downs in my truck. I've driven to Seattle with it in back, over 600mi round trip, no worries, tough stand!

I use a modified BVM"F100" stand. It serves to allow wing assembly/removal
and to service the turbine area and the cockpit as well.. I take it to the field as the bottom
has 3 trays to put tools etc in!!!

Chris - thanks for a fine piece of engineering. Really outstanding.

These pics don't really do full justice.

The main stand uses a cut down wing tube to hold the airframe into the stand. Remove the airframe and there are 2 sets of supports that key into the stand designed to hold the plane upright or inverted to allow installation of the wing, access to the turbine hatch etc. There are gear clearances so when held upright the gear operation can be checked. Loop holes on the side are for tie-down points. Cut-outs in the bottom can be used as "keys" to help lock the stand onto a shelf in a trailer or ? I have found that most damage to models comes from hangar rash and transport and these stands really go a long way to minizing this problem.

Chris has done an amazing job at a very reasonable price.

I also know Chris has stands for the Carf Tutor (already have one) and the Ultra Flash.

Cheers,

PaulD

I dunno details about his cutter but the stand is made out of 3/8's 9ply and it sure did a nice job on that. From the pics u can see the size of the table - the bottom piece is close to 4' long.
