Just got back and had a great time. Really enjoyed getting back out at an event. Great event and weather. It was hot but wind mostly down the runway and not to strong. Miss gang and Hinds county did an awesome job of hosting. Will be back for sure!!!

I started coming to this event the first year it was held in Winona MS (1993, I think) and I haven't missed it since.
I had a blast again this year. Great facility! Great bunch of people! Great food! And lots of flying!

I didn't take very many pictures this year, but I did get some crappy I phone video of the P-51

Edit:

Well I'm gonna have to upload the videos somewhere else since vidoes on photobucket don't seem to work on this forum.

Thanks to all the Mississippi Jet guy, this was a great event and my first big event i attended.  Never saw that many jets before, it was great. I really love Phil's f-4, it was a rocket!   Unfortunately,  I lost my f-14 due to pre-flight pilot error after 3 great flights, but i learn a lot flying at a big event. The food was GREAT!  I love crawfish, being from Louisiana.  Thinks to everyone at Mississippi.  Also thank you for my first award.  Hopefully the new f-14 will be ready by Kentucky Jets.  See yall next year!

Kirk

I had the wheel for the first 2 flights and Warrenson did a few laps during those flights. He wanted the wheel for the 3rd flight and had me standing by for the landing.

Tough lose but what a man as he orderd another that day. I recommended a different color scheme. He thought that a good idea as well. Look forward to seeing the new one. Way to get back on the horse Warrenson!!!

Funny thing the dueling F4 flight was the highlight of my weekend too! My F4 turned 13 this year, it's been in mothballs for the last three years, I decided to put a new engine in it, and get it back flying. By half way through the first flight it was like having an old friend back. Nothing flys quite like a BVM F4 and I'm looking forward to ripping some more flights with Phil, Timmy, and a few other guys that still like to drive them like they are sport jets!

I've been attending Mississippi Afterburner since the early Winona days and its always been outstanding.... First class in every way. If you have never attended then you need to put MA on your schedule for sure.

Vernon, Dennis and David: Thanks for another great event!

Thanks for posting that pic for me Buck, I'm computer challenged right now! Yep, 38,000' and Mach .93 when that was taken. The funny thing is I couldn't wait to get home and get back cranking on my BV MiG! So young and stupid of me...
