Status: online 		With a Jomar battery backer, can I use a 5 cell 5000mah NIMH as primary and a 5 cell 1800 mah Nicad for back-up? Do both batteries have to be same type?

Seems when I turn on primary switch, the back-up turns on even with back-up switch physically in off position.

of Jomar products.
Re your question that turning on the primary battery switch also turns on the secondary,
even though the latter's switch is off, in a properly installation, that is impossible, off is off.
Possibly the switch is defective, or something is miswired. Let us know. ,
