I recently purchased a Hangar 9 P51 BNF airplane that has been in its box for a very long time I guess. It has the servos, engine, receiver and the battery already installed. The coating has more wrinkles than any plane I have ever seen. After An hour of trying to iron them all out of the fuse without much success, I pulled out the wing and tried  to get the wrinkles out of it without much success. The covering on the flaps is so wrinkled I am not going to be able to save it or for that matter the whole plane needs to be recovered. I have removed covering in the past and was just wondering if there is an easier way to get the old covering off. Any help would be appreciated.

Heat it and remove it while the adhesive is hot.
