He should confiscate it and destroy it if it's any idiot's that puts a .15 on a 1/2A plane, plus make them drink all the fuel!

Airlines need to drop "economy" classes and go back to making it an industry that pays decent wages for all its pilots and staffers and save us from yet more unnecessary pollution!

Well I was going to put a .049 on it but a .051 is the same size so why not, then you know a .074 is not much bigger, and really a .09 is the same size as the .074. Going from .10 from .09 is no big deal and the .15 has the same size case as the .10.............., So that's why I put the Super Tigre G4500 on my 1/2A plane.

Why you LOL'ing?

It's the truth.

I just need to find a way to bolt on this 45cc tuned pipe onto the GLH incase I need more power.

A wise modeler once said "You can always throttle back".

Yeah, and old Great Planes Magic Magnet building board.

They bought the design from Lind, ran it a few years and then discontinued it.

It wasn't worth the high price but it's the idea. I replaced all the cheap flimsy plastic fittings with solid oak ones. Then I bought extra magnets.

Airfield models has a pretty good review of the idea.

I have one of those also. Love it, only way I build now. I have yet to replace the plastic fittings, hate them. One of these days I will get around to making new fittings.

'Tis why I refuse to fly if I can get away with it. I don't care if I'm driving three thousand miles.

The last time I flewcommercial on a hunting trip the Airline's "Firearms Expert" really struggled trying to determine if my Weatherby was unloaded. I had packed the bolt separately from the rest of the rifle and finaly said; "Jost look down the barrel. If you can see light through that hole, there ain't no bullet in it."

He said 'Oh', and handed me the rifle so I could replace it in the case.

I went to Jamaica a few months ago and on the return trip had a little "*" coded on part of my ticket that I guess means I had been selected for random inspection. What made no sense to me is that I guess when you get picked for random it means you get seached and have to unload all your bags at 3 seperate times/locations...all past the initial TSA checkpoint. I was like "what could I pick up after I was in the gate area? Seems like it would make a heck of a lot more sense to search 3 different people than the same person 3 times?(once was in the jetway as I was walking to the plane that was in a hurry to takeoff, and they said if I missed it it wasn't their problem and I'd just have to fork out for another ticket!) Can anyone explain the reasoning behind this? At least there were no "Blue Glove" inspections . Todd

It's worse than you thought.

As one who is caring for an aging parent, I find that last piece particularly galling.

And now, the TSA is inspecting truckers, AMERICAN truckers traveling on AMERICA'S roads. What next, pickups?
All you hunters better take down your gun racks.

Well I am a frequent inter national and intercontinental traveller I have never been searched to that degree, pat downs and swabbing have happened a couple of times.
I took 2 planes rides yesterday (London to Vancouver the Vancouver-Kelowna).
I have see it happen a few times though, people get called aside and you know what is going to happen to them.
I must say the people that usually are young black males and young asian women, just an observation.

The TSA has provided numerous examples of what happens when certain individuals are given authority exceeding their intelligence.

This reminds me of an incident that I experienced some 30 years ago. I went to Sault Ste. Marie for a fun fly and I brought along my Competitor helicopter. It was strapped down in my Corolla wagon, clearly visible.

On the Monday after the fun fly, I decided to check out the hobby shops south of the border. So I'm in line at the checkpoint, three cars back and the guy coming up to the cars looked like he had had a miserable day. Uh oh, I thought and sure enough, one look in my car and he had me pull over and go inside.

Once inside I get grilled,,, and I mean GRILLED about my intentions in the U.S. of A. They accused me of peddling sophisticated machinery in the US as if it were some kind of crime???

Then one big guy gets me into a small office, sits on the side of his desk and pulls out this big, bad-#ss gun and lays it next to him. From there, he proceeds to grill me again.

So he lets me out and I need to sign some papers. The guy serving me then sheepishly asks me about my heli. Turns out, he's a local modeler belonging to the local club. So,,,, he could/would/should have filled his peers in as to what I was really all about.

My feeling was that some of these guys get into a real power trip and on an individual basis, abuse their authority just to pump up their egos. Bullies.

So instead of spending a few days and many dollars in Soo, the American side, I promptly made a U-Turn at the first opportunity and went home. The Canadian border guard was just about as opposite as you could get. He actually was intrigued with the heli and wanted to know more. I gave him the location of the local club and went on with my trip.

I had already been to Toledo a year prior and intended to go every year,, by car, of course. After that incident, I never went back and never had any desire or inclination to visit the US again. Only when I had two brothers that needed a second opinion at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester did I venture into the US just a few years ago. Luckily we had no problems.

I was amazed and pleased at the reception we all got throughout our foray back into the US. I was the driver all the way and I must have looked pretty tired because three times, people would come up to me and ask me if I was OK, if I needed any help. These are the Americans that are the majority IMO. This has NEVER happened to me in Canada. That's not knocking Canada but there it is.

We are all just people whether it's in North America, Iran, France, China,,, we just want to live, love and prosper according to our talents and ambitions.

It's the power hungry, functioning psychopaths that rise to levels of authority (95%) that are the problem.

I have a similar story with a grey markey motorcycle I was trying to get thru customs coming back thru. I spent 9 hours between Canadian and American customs.

IMO, it's getting close to time for a reboot in Government. They have forgotten that they work for us and not the other way around.

Rebooting would mean a Ron Paul presidency. He wants to abolish the Fed. Kennedy tried that with Executive Order 11110. Look it up and be very afraid.

Also look up, The American Dream Full Length Version. Know what's wrong and change it.
