Since I started in this hobby, I decided to just stick with model airplanes, and possibly helicopters.
Cars wasn't the thing for me I thought.

But what do you do when people in your club with awesome persuading-skills, buy themself a neat car?
Well, as I was standing there, getting to try the beauty out, I had no choice. I had to go home, and buy me one of these wonders.

So yesterday I ordered a new HOBBYWING XERUN Brushless from http://www.rcecho.com/XERUN-Sensored-3672SD-Motor-and-120A-ESC-LCD-Card.html and bought some 5000mah 3S Lipos from http://hobbyking.com/ to get some speed on this thing. Some say they can reach 60mph(100km/h) with 3S lipos with stock setup. Im gonna find out.

Best thing is that it is all RTF, and 100% dutyproof. Perfect for a newbe as myself!
And the controller, which is a 2CH when it arrives, is actually a 4CH radio. You just need to mod it a little bit. Maybe I'll create a post on that process here later?
Anyways, I'm really looking forward to try this thing out, on the rainy days when flying is out of the question!

Anyone else got this one, or have been looking at it?

Filmed a little video of it the other day, at our field(got some more vids there as well if you guys are interested):

I dont have the money for this hobby, its getting to expensive when im going to try everything that is RC
Oh, and Bruce, im pretty sure there is room for a pulsejet on the top of this one

Hey cool... Keep the vid's coming.... Tip for ya, throttle up to get the nose up , throttle down/brake to get it down

A 35a ezrun combo would of given u the same performance for a 1/4 of the price....but hey now u can over gear the hell out of it...
150 is over kill, for a slash... But meh

U do know those controllers can be converted to 5ch???

That old Mazda brings back memories, I had a super deluxe 626 turbo coupe, a few years back...

in a 4wd slash nope the 35A would fry fast
I ran a 60A in my slash 4X4 for a few minutes on cement, and when I checked its temp the ESC was at 150, and motor was at 170. I'd hate to imagine what it would have hit if I rode it through grass.
Converted the slash to a pede 4X4 after that (didn't like how it handled) and got the HW 120 xerun in it with a 3500kv motor from HK since. It still gets quite warm but after 25 mins of running in pure grass it was pretty warm, but not to danger levels(still need to gear it down though).

Its just something in the slash/pede 4x4 cause I've ran the 60A's in other 4wd RC's(one is a jammin SCRT converted to a 1/8th scale buggy) that weigh the same with the same batteries, and they don't even get warm.

ha.. no kidding I was going to say that. ive run the 35a in other 4x4's no problems... maby the slash 4x4 has a very bad rolling resistance?

my 35a was no problems in a 2wd shash, did find with monster truch wheels the ESC got hot, but a yeah racing tornado fan on 7.4v fixed that
