 Hi guys,

i have a Kingtech k80F kerostart and today when i landed my plane and when i tried to start up again for the second flight i had a message on GSU says..

'GLOW BAD'
and the turbine doesn't start up.

The turbine is brand new with 20 minutes of run time..

Does anybody knows what this means?

I hope that is not what i'm afraid of...malfunction on the kero plug?!!

Thank in advance for any replies guys...

Just guessing, but could it be that the ECU battery needs charging? Or a bad connection to the igniter?

Hi,

First check ECU amp circuit. In kero mode set trim max and throttle max.. The starter motor should engage. See screen 2 for reading for amps.

If this ok, then you have a bad connection on the Kero copper wire. I have found that the varnish on the wire was not removed when soldered to terminal. Take off cover ad check the wire for good electrical continuity...

Regards

Morne

check the harness to where it connects with the Turbine (the green plug). If the connection is loose then the starter wouldn't spin either. Happen to me once and i freaked out until i realized the starter was dead also and checked the plugs and found it was halfway out.
