I am building the ECOMRC TigerMoth, this will be my first 1/4 scale Bi Plane.

On examining all the parts in the box I am pleased with the quality of the parts and the covering, all are covered in Pro Film.  showing the wing and tail sections.

The Dummy Fuel Tank is very well made and they have spent some time on it to give that realism.

Thanks for that.

Moving onto the wing servos, the mountings have already been done for you so not much to do on there.  All fitted very nice.

Looks OK for an ARTF and could have some 'improvements' made easily if you wished. Where did you buy it from?

Dbp7966,

That Moth looks good so far, but there's no way I'd ever use a push nut to hold the aileron linkage to the servo arm. That set up just seem likes it's doomed for failure. Are you going to stay with that method?

Dan

Hi Dan,

I have no issues with this set up, I have used this on many other planes some of large arobatics over many years and have had no issues.  But thanks for your comments.

Cheers

Moving onto the wing strut installation.  It does not explain too well in instructions but I got them in the correct order.

They are number stamped on the mental ends

Moving onto the Rudder set up.

You have to install the push rods first and then install main arm in from the top.  Check the holes that have been pre drilled as the outter ones are 3mm and the hardware is for 2mm. I used 3mm linkages instead.

Once in just install the bearing under and then install bolt.

Wouldn't a 1/4 scale Tiger moth have a 103" wingspan?

Full scale Tigge DH82a had a WS of 29' 4" or 352"
So at 1/4 scale I get 88" WS
