I know most of you will see my crash photos and probably turn away because of how simple this might be to fix. Unfortunately, Im a HORRIBLE builder and dont have much space to repair the wing.

Plus I dont have many tools.

Having said that, can anyone give me some advice on how to get this wing fixed so I can have it up and flying asap??

A side note: this is the Filip V glider, and weighs 14 oz, so I can't afford to add much weight on this wing.

crash descrip: came in for a landing, but landed near a rock, and the wing hit the rock.. the covering has a hole and a tear that isnt visible in these blurry photos. also in the photo the finger is pointing to the leading edge wood, and that is actually cracked all the way through. i just pushed them together at the field.

thanks!

thanks for your help.

Well if the only damage is a cracked leading edge, just thin CA it back in place, cover the hole with scotch tape and go fly!

Just look the rest of the wing as well as the wing mounts in the fuselage over for damage.

push forward, thin ca, thin clear packing tape.

Or..
15 dollar roll of transparent covering, patch...never looks good with transparent.
plus heat gun will shrink covering and tape.

OH, Don't hit rocks, trees, poles, cars, etc

If you are just looking for a quick fix, then tape over it, after fixing the cracked leading edge.

or

Make sure you glue that crack in the leading edge back together and straight. If you have an iron then iron down the loose covering, and tighten up the warp with the iron. Then tape the hole.

any heat from a gun or iron will shrink covering film.
