I met Frank at the 2009 ISC speed run and he was running his gears backwards which as you said, its easy to do on the FG but I dont think it worked out for him. Regardless of the gearing youre running, you need a motor that can pull all that gearing. I run custom gearing but not spurs as pinions.

Got to 100 does that mean you want a motor with a lot of torque or rpms or both???

Status: offline 		If you plan on running what FK was running, then you need torque. But with torque, some RPM will be sacrificed. I tried to find that balance of both and then gearing.

Status: offline 		So you compromise. What about the MCD the way the MCD gearing is set up you would need a motor that generated a high amount of torque right??

I had been told there been a thread started on here about my current speed  runs in the last couple of week ends, it's nice to here about that.

I have been in the past few weeks setting her up  to have achieved 112 mph, this was a good week end.

I didn't change anything except a new clutch, as the old one just fried last week on the second pass. I know she has allot more waiting on gearing , should be in by the end of the week, I won't be running again until after the Easter break.

The goal is to go over the 120mph it should be able to if all goes well, and I'm not running a two speed just single gears.

I will be after this starting on my other project with a fg on road competition  2010 model, this will have a similar engine if not better.

So I will try to post on here if I can as I'm busy with three others site's and work.

Maxit, my hat goes off to you..........EXCELLENT JOB.........i love everything about it, the color sceme, the set up, and last but not least the speed. The thing looks great coming down the street.

Im going to keep it as spares for my super, be patient I'm working on a better solution with the setup with the fg, once I get the ok you will see something amazing in it if all works out.

The only concern is the rear dif the gearing  not a problem, or maybe as this motor has so much punch it was clocked at 116 kph popping wheelies about 10 meters long and had to back of the power.

It was  on another forum the other day that some one had made a comment that the ISC has changed the cclassifications to make it ferror, as I believe they had 1/8 & 1/5 in the same class. He then made a statement that he couldn't expect a 1/5 scale beat a 1/8 electric at 130 mph,+, well I'm shore soon that will be achievable!
