i dont have a lot to say on the matter since i have never owned a t-maxx but one of my friends has two and never had any probs with either, my other friend with a t-maxx has nothing but problems. this to me is a driver based problem scenerio. you break it then want to blame the truck. if you guys want the ultimate basher then get an ofna titan twin, i have 2, they never break. i have had one for 3 years with a little over 7 gallons thru both engines and the only thing i have ever changed is a couple 1 way bearings, rebuilt a diff (too much driving on asphalt), glow plugs, and broke both pivot balls on the front right side(also my fault for hitting a parked car at 40). every part on the twin is either aluminum or very heavy plastic that is almost indestructable. twin engine so power is not a problem. my newest twin with 2 gallons thru each engine has never had one part changed, even counting glow plugs. i broke it in and took it to the rock quarry and put it up 80 foot walls, jumped 30+ feet high landing on embankments, 20 foot high flat landings, and still nothing has broken. of course the ball cups pop off and i scratched the crap out of the sub frame but other than that nothing has broken. the trucks cost 700-900 bucks, but show me a maxx, savage, or any other truck that can outrun outpull or even out jump it with the same amount of money in it and i will give you my truck. plain and simple nothing is stronger, faster, bigger(1/8 scale), or more durable. the only problem is none of the tracks i have been to will let me drive on them cuz i tear up their tracks too much (lol).
