    hell yeah... its like this

    hpi savage-best basher
    losi lst2-best racer
    traxxas t-maxx- best overall

t-maxx is a standard easy truck. easy layout and everything. where as the savage and lst2 have things put together tightly. traxxas is great been with them for 3 years and have not been disapointed

every car can break...you might hit the weakpoint in the car everytime you crash and consider it a piece. However if a guy on a weak truck hits the strong point everytime they will consider it the best thing around. If the car is on the market then it has gotten past durability tests by the manuf. ( to some extent) and it must be worthy enough (by their standards) to put on the market. So its tough to say which car is the strongest or what not.

i dont have a lot to say on the matter since i have never owned a t-maxx but one of my friends has two and never had any probs with either, my other friend with a t-maxx has nothing but problems. this to me is a driver based problem scenerio. you break it then want to blame the truck. if you guys want the ultimate basher then get an ofna titan twin, i have 2, they never break. i have had one for 3 years with a little over 7 gallons thru both engines and the only thing i have ever changed is a couple 1 way bearings, rebuilt a diff (too much driving on asphalt), glow plugs, and broke both pivot balls on the front right side(also my fault for hitting a parked car at 40). every part on the twin is either aluminum or very heavy plastic that is almost indestructable. twin engine so power is not a problem. my newest twin with 2 gallons thru each engine has never had one part changed, even counting glow plugs. i broke it in and took it to the rock quarry and put it up 80 foot walls, jumped 30+ feet high landing on embankments, 20 foot high flat landings, and still nothing has broken. of course the ball cups pop off and i scratched the crap out of the sub frame but other than that nothing has broken. the trucks cost 700-900 bucks, but show me a maxx, savage, or any other truck that can outrun outpull or even out jump it with the same amount of money in it and i will give you my truck. plain and simple nothing is stronger, faster, bigger(1/8 scale), or more durable. the only problem is none of the tracks i have been to will let me drive on them cuz i tear up their tracks too much (lol).

Obviously peoples opinions will differ due to different experiences with said truck. the general idea is that the t-maxx is a good truck BUT you would have to spend a few $$$ to get it up to par. IMO revo beats t-maxx is every area and is a way better truck all round. t-maxx is just outdated.

i have two tmaxx's one has aluminum chassis braces and skid plates but all other chassis parts like a-arms and bulkheads are stock. the second one is stock for most part. both these trucks have o.s. .18's with lengthend chassis and proline shocks. but for the most part chassis parts are original. my first maxx is the original maxx its like 8 years old with all original plastic. any of the rc cars or trucks are only going to be as good as the driver and the mechanic who wrenches on them. if you have missing or loose screws here and there and start hitting stuff something got to give its common sense. or if you hit a parked car full throttle somthing has got to give. seen one guy do that and said what a piece of junk this is and i said let me throw you at 40 mph at a car and lets see if you have any broken parts lol he says ya i guess your right

I can not believe this crap I am hearing ! Any truck I MEAN ANY TRUCK will break if you run it hard enough ! It feels like i am back in high school this is a Traxxas forum right? If you don't like em then don't comment on them. The 2.5 tmaxx is a very durable truck.Let's see truck of the year ?how many times. If you take your time tune em run em test em again she's runs like a champ! Maybe the people who don't like em don't have the brains or the patience to tune em.Ya they could change some things, but when I bought my new GTO there was some flaws there too! The tmaxx is a great truck and quick enough for me ! So come on guys why the bad marks for the tmaxx. They pull brand new trucks( ford Chevy dodge) apart for offroad use(why because they need better parts to take the abuse. That's what we are doing hear.Let's give traxxas a break.

Tmaxx 2.5r.> Failsafe /hpi (black rims bowtie rubber).Rollcage/ traxxas wheelie bar.

i wouldn't mind a t-maxx but ive got a revo, so in the race department, im sorted. next truck is either a savage ss 4.6 or an lst2. at the moment tho my funds only allow me to drink alcohol (buckfast aka the shaft) and party. a new truck really isn't on the cards for a student. need all the money i can get for university!!! anyone lend me a few quid????

I have nothing against traxxas but the engines, some people get engines that start up as soon as you press the ez start and some take 3 hours or more to start. The ones that start right up are usualy good engines and the ones that take 3 hours will usually suck so that person wont like traxxas and say it sucks.Traxxas make good durable cars just their engines are to tempermental.

they need to start selling revos with rb tm523's in them. fook me if traxxes put mid-blocks in their trucks they would own out of the box. its not like the revo cant handle a bigger engine.

Here in Europe the 3.3 Revo costs 600euros (750$) , the 2.5 500euros and the 2.5 T-MAXX 400.That's why very few people have traxxas models. I got the T-MAXX and like it. It's very tough although I have engine problems. Can't keep it running.
