there is noting wrong with the t-maxx. I had a s-maxx a year back and it was alright. I have to agree that it is not for the hardcore enthusiast. I had a home-made ramp and the first time i jumped it, the shocktowers broke. i could understand if i landed on the body and i broke a bulkhead, but when landed properly, it shouldnt break. i am now a proud owner of an aftershock.

my t-maxx was a horrible money pit and i was stoked to see it go. i almost got out of the hobby because of it, it was my first nitro and it was a sour experience. the one good thing that came from owning a maxx is i am very familuar with the trucks i have now and can tear them down and fix them with ease. oh and i also spent more time fixing the maxx and getting it to run then i did actually driving it. i would only take it on about 4 to 5 foot jumps as well.

the t-maxx is a great starter truck to get noobs into the hobby, but once you start talking big air and serious bashing your going to dump some cash in it to make it reliable, then what your left with is a decent truck that you will never come close to getting 1/2 your money back out of!!!!i have 2 highly modified maxxs and although i have thought about parting them out on several occasions,i cant do it.honestly the t-maxx is the truck that hooked me(heavily)into nitro powered mt's.and to this day either of them will give any mt a run for its money!!!!

on a tight winding track? the maxx handles like a lumber wagon. i will say that driving skill is most to do with racing but if you an experienced rcer took a 3.3 t-maxx and a 3.3 revo on the same track i guarantee you that you will consistantly run faster runtimes with the revo.

this maxx is no lumber wagon, and yes driving experience plays a big role in it,but if your tuning skills are weak,a driver with less skills can beat you just by out tuning/setting up his ride!!!!

    What about a revo ?
l own em both, the revo's better.
Its a MT made for jumps ! Needs wings !
l dont even drive me others anymore, not very oftern anyways, the revo is more fun less work.

they are hard to part with!!!!,and for all you screaming,REVO,REVO,....why?its just like any other truck,it breaks, fairly unimpressive in its stock form needing to be upgraded, mainly that p.o.s. trx engine, the suspension is soft and mushy out of the box,yes the revo has an awesome design, but as with any truck its going to break,PERIOD!!!!!
