Not a very flattering description of modeling or the AMA (CBO).

Written by an over educated idiot.
"A licensing program obviously wouldn't prevent the threat of drone terrorism."
but, obviously we need it anyway.

AMA is already working on a response "Letter to the Editor". We need to stay vigilant and nip these kinds of things in the bud.

Based on this guy's logic cars and trucks should also be tightly controlled.

By what logic, for example, do we prevent airline passengers from taking 8-ounce plastic water bottles through security checkpoints, while permitting anyone who so desires to operate a 50-pound, video-guided drone, no questions asked?

I'd say that the water bottle in an airliner is a lot more dangerous than a 55 pound model in the side of a building.  A water bottle can take down a whole airliner and kill hundreds of people, the 55 pound model could only blow a hole in the building and maybe take out a dozen or so people.  That said I know of nobody that has tried to use water bottles full of explosives, so I would say keep the model law the same, and kill the water bottle law.  Way to much hassle traveling on planes these days.

I bet this same guy accused Bush of being a Nazi for passing the patriot act right?
