I own a XG8 and I love it.

Compared to my Multiplex Royal Pro, programming is a bit limited, but sufficient.

Handling, precision an weight are perfekt.
It was the first time my heli did exactly what I wanted, in real and in sim.
The best Trans I ever had in my hands!
I think about buying a 2nd as spare.

Status: offline 		interesting...but as far as I can see...its a radio used mainly in helis, is that correct? What about the airplane programming ?

according to the manual quite good, I only have simple planes.
The most complex thing is a flaperon.

The manual is downloadable from JR.

A Friend tolme, he calculated the minimum chanels for his planes: 11.
So a XG8 seem to not be a good choice for more complex planes.

You should describe the aircraft. Did your friend mean 11 servos or 11 channels?

I have a Hangar 9 P47-150. It is one Rudder servo, one Throttle servo, 2 Aileron servos, 2 Flap servos, 2 Retract servos, 2 Elevator servos, and a Fiber Optic Kill Switch for the gas engine. If I had an 11 or 12 channel radio, I could put each servo on a separate channel and mix them in the transmitter. I have a 9 channel radio, so I use some Channel Mixing and some JR Matchboxes.
