Hello all,

I have bought a Futaba 7c 2.4, but it doesn't have a rachet throttle stick .

Question, is there any way to enable the rachet, or does it have to be sent in to be added on.

TY

Not sure about Fataba, but Spektrum Txs come with two plates that you can install on your throttle stick. One is ribbed and one is smooth.

Do you need a ratchet throttle? I always thought I did, till I got a 3810, then found that it simply isn't needed, and now radios with them feel slightly 'cheap'. Even the full size I used to fly didn't have a ratchet, but I could adjust the friction...

A ratchet throttle is a preference...I like mine but that is what I have always had....I have fooled around with smooth throttle and to me that feels cheap...it is just a preference...
I have never seen a full scale anything with a ratchet throttle....
good flyin to all

Did you buy it used, is it the heli version?

The most common way to modify the Futaba aircraft version to a smooth ratchet (which all heli and most 3d plank flyers prefer) is to open the back and flip over the spring clip, if you bought it used, you may just need to reverse the throttle tensioner.
