Just converted an Hobbyking T34 Mentor do glow power.
Engine - Magnum .15 XLS
Servos - HS-55
Hitec Optima Lite 6

I had to cut the landing gears struts a lot to get the plane more scale looking.
With the original it looked like an ostridge.

Sweet looking conversion Have flown her yet ?? Let us know how that goes.

I am especially interested in what your AUW ended up at and how that motor performs. Trying to get a comparison for my Gee Bee project.

What is the span on that plane and the emotor you pulled out?  Giving consideration once more to convert my Eflite to glow.  I want to go 4 stroke though.

Hi there.

How did she fly as was thinking of putting in a asp12a into the same. Did you manage to balance the CoG ok with the magnum out the front?

Cheers

I had to add about a half ounce to the tail, but it flies OK. Needs flaps for takeoff though, and I still dont like it.  I did a snap roll and the canopy popped off, and it actually flew better.  It lands hard too, might be too heavy with the glow setup, its about a half pound more in weight than the electric setup.  The only difference now is that it stays up longer, the performance is about the same, and I was hoping it would have a little more OOMPH in the sky, but its the same.
