I'm going to break in a new YS91FZ and wanted to start (and stay with) Powermaster YS20/20 fuel but it is not available at any LHS within 300 miles of me (S. Oregon).

It looks like it would also work fine in my 2-C glow engines, so I would just have one fuel for all.

The problem is I can't seem to find it on the web in less than six (6) gallon cartons with a hefty HASMAT surcharge. Don't mind the cost so much but six gallons would probably go bad before I had a chance to use them.

Seems someone was packaging in quarts to sidestep the HAZMAT fee, that would be great as I could just get 8 quarts that would hold me through the season, but no joy in finding the source.

Any advice on where to purchase would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks! -dave-

THANKS, TIM!

I em'ed them a week or so ago asking for a pricelist and where to buy online but didn't get the pricelist and they referred me to The Hobby People who just sell in 6 gallon lots. So I thought they wouldn't sell direct except in huge quantities (club sales).

Just called them but they're closed on Friday but first thing Monday I'll be on the phone!

Thanks so much for the great info and the fast reply!

OH! Now that Tim was nice enough to tell me where to get it (YS20/20), is it OK to use in my 2 stroke engines, too? Enya .40, Enya .50, OS61, Sport Jett .78?

Looks like lotsa oil, all synthetic so maybe loose a little power but would have mucho lubrication, yes?

Dave,
I was hoping someone else could answer that for you.
Although it has 20% oil it is all synthetic, and I belive you need a synthetic castor mix for your 2-cycle engines.
So therefore I would not recomend it.
If anyone else knows different please reply.
Tim

I use PowerMaster 20/20 in all my 2 stroke and 4 stroke glow engines. I have never had a problem and my engines last a long time. I guess I'm lazy and don't want to fool with several different fuels. I always overpower my airplanes and keep the carb needles backed out several hundred rpm from the max. I have added a few ozs of Castor oil to fuel for a break in mix a few times as when first running my OS 91fx and 50fx for instance. My 4 stokes are all YS and Saito.

Thank you both for your replys!

Sounds like it would be....OK, but maybe will add a few onces of castor when I use it in the 2 strokes and keep that jug seperated from the 4-S stuff....

It sounds like diluting the YS20/20 with methonol maybe 25% and adding 4-6 oz of castor would drop the nitro rating and increase the syn-to-castor ratio to the ideal for 2-S.

Well, it sounds like just what I wanted.

Thanks again to all for the help and suggestions!
