Apparently the only people that don't rest are the scammers! There is a brand new one wondering around: watch out for Marco001. I don't know how to report him to the admins, but at least we can make people aware!

Thanks, and Happy Holidays!!!

Nothing too smart. Just a private message on all my listings, stating that he is "ready right now" to purchase the item, and needs a direct email message from me. The guy joined 2 days ago, and paraphrased his message on every single listing.

I would guess scammers need to be more ingenious than that, but maybe the 'technique' is to appear dumb to instill confidence?

There used to be a common Paypal scam very similar to that.
Thanks for alerting us to this scammer

how does saying "im ready to purchase" make it a scam... if the buyer doesnt pay , the seller doesnt ship

If you Google "Paypal Scam", you will see a lot of info on how the scam I referred to works (or is supposed to work)

the part of the person sending the same text in response to multiple ads, and requesting you send them an email address so they can get your information to spam you further...

Well the spam isn't the worry, if you respond they come up with this thing about they have a "service" that will pick up the item so they want your physical address, then they'll want your phone number, then your PayPal account e-mail address and the last part is they want to send you "cashier's check" or money order for more than the amount due and you are supposed to "refund" the difference.....

Even if you don't refund the difference, they still have a substantial amount of information on you.
