Hey guys, just a quick one for today. I noticed this morning while running my 010 that it appears to be leaking around the plug stalk in the head.

Any ways to fix this other than a new head?

In short-NO!...........you could try 24-hr araldite and do a fillet around the stem-but you've very little working area-and you'd need to clean all traces of fuel residue off-with a strong detergent, and then use something like a dremel wire brush to clean up and abrade the bonding surface-both of them. A lot of effort with no guarantee of success. On a larger head it would be feasible-on an 010 its likely to be marginal....
And 010 heads are not in short supply.......................

JB weld might work.

JB weld is hard to find here in australia, so I for that sort of stuff I use a product called DEVCON liquid steel. It's helped out with rebuilding carb mounts that have been torn out through crashes and mid airs on 40-60 sized planes.

I cleaned the area around the stem, hit it with a fine file and placed a 1mm x 1mm fillet around the stem. I found by accident that a normal glow driver will acutally almost clip onto a .010 head so as long as the top of the button is free from goop I think I might ready to go

Don't forget that if you inadvertly ground the stem to the top of the head with a conducting material, then your plug will be shorted.

*slaps forehead*

I didn't even think of that, thankfully though, it appears not to have shorted the plug.
