I need a new needle valve assembly for an old 40 FP. Everywhere I've looked, I'm told that the part is discontinued and they will not be getting any more. What are my options?

Status: offline 		Parts specific to the O.S. Max .40 FP are no longer available. However, the needle valve, only, is still available, but the entire assembly is not:

OSMG7016 22281977 NEEDLE #3A212A US$5.99

If you need a remote needle assembly, though, this will work nicely:

OSMG8336 23882900 REMOTE NDL ASSY 21RZM US$35.99

These parts can be ordered through any hobby retailer who sells O.S. Max engines and accessories.

If you need parts specific to the engine, then you'll have to go through one of the swap-shop sites on the rc model forums, or through one of the auction site. You may need to buy an entire "parts" engine to get the parts you need.

I am interested in using the remote needle assembly you suggest below on a 40 Fp.  Does the OSMG8336 23882900 REMOTE NDL ASSY 21RZM US$35.99
kit come with a fuel barb for the carburator?  If not can you suggest one that will be long enough to put the spray in the center of the verturi

Status: offline 		If the fuel barb is broken off of the carburetor, you'll need a new carb body. There isn't a replacement barb.
