i just got my reciever as i purchased my aurora without a reciever.I have been trying to bind them with no luck. The closest i got is the lcd screen started displaying a battery cell witch i think is the reciever battery but the radio controls do not activate any servos. The module in back of the radio has both the blue and red led shining with the red one flickering and the module gives 3 fast beeps witch signals a low battery but i charged it using the charger that came with the radio. It is an mdp battery. So why does the battery cell show but i can not get the servo to move.I created a new model as i have no idea how to switch between scan or normal mode.....but when i try binding according to either set of directions the colors dont seem to do what they are supposed to

1. As a "battery cell" icon appears on the A9 screen, must be an Optima Transceiver.
Please refer to the last pictures attached
AFHSS - ID_Setup (also known as Binding or Linking) & Range Test Procedure for
........Aurora 9, Spectra 2.4Ghz Module <> Optima Transceiver or Minima Receiver.
and note there are two different methods for setting the Optima and Minima.
See also the LED guide cards.
To operate the servo via an Optima, then only a Red LED should light on both Spectra module
and the Optima.
Blue LED is lit on Spectra Module when in Scan Function - not used for flying, setting
a Minima receiver or when indicating a fault..

2. For transceiver to operate servo, power must be input via
a) SPC port and the Servo bus
b) SPC plug must be in place and power then through servo bus, see item 2 under:
Optima Transceiver (RX) - SPC connection & Lead FAQ for EP & GP models.
not sure what a "mdp battery" is but if charged should report as 4.8+ volts within A9 screen battery icon.

In need, use an HPP-22 interface to check  and update firmware in both the Spectra module and Optima
as shown: Hitec HPP-22 2.4GHz Programmer - Manual, FAQ - How to Install & Use (with screenshots).

Further to post #2, ex FAQ page:
Optima Transceiver (RX) - Servo Move Slower Than Usual - then Rebind.
...(Switched between Normal <> Scan mode with power off before process completed).
Optima Transceiver (RX) - Servo Wag & Jerky Servo Movements Reasons & Cure - Do Not Fly With This Condition.
(...includes when switching on some ESC) .
Optima Transceiver (RX) - Servos Stepping - Battery pack (power supply) failing under load.

how do i switch between scan mode and normal?
Scan Function is used solely for Spectra module to select the cleanest local set of frequencies.
As in post #2, please refer to the last two pictures attached thereto = pictorial procedures for
Setup and the last relates solely to Scan and return to Normal.
(right click and open in new window so can enlarge significantly.)
AFHSS - ID_Setup (also known as Binding or Linking) & Range Test Procedure
for
........Aurora 9, Spectra 2.4Ghz Module <> Optima Transceiver or Minima Receiver.
