Status: offline 		Had a good time at the Weak signal's show in Toledo today. I even came back with a couple of Yankee Green Backs in my pocket. I did buy the AquaCat from ModelAero. Had a chance to talk with RCKen for a few minutes. It was good to see him. He was super busy taking pictures and looking busy. If you have never been to the Toledo show you show make every effort of go some time. One of the largest in the country. Upstairs features a huge swap meet. Still only a 10 spot to get in.

Status: offline 		I had as much fun as I always do. I tell the new guys that it is like Christmas, your birthday and the 4th of July
all rolled into one.

Saw the new 1/3 scale kits from Balsa USA, I want that Dr-1.

The new giant scale ARF Corsair from Top Flite looks good, all I have to do now is win the lottery.

And as usual, the planes on display in the center court were great.

And as an extra added attraction, we stopped at Grimes Field in Urbana on the way home. This is where the B-25's
that will be flying for the Doolittle Raiders reunion are staging out of. There were 6 on the field with more to arrive
tomorrow. they are expecting a total of 24! I got to see a full scale B-25 fly, never seen one in person before.

All in all a fantastic day.

The swap meet was pretty bad this year compared to prior years thanks to the economy.

In prior years there was a LOT more stuff upstairs, and each room had a hobby shop take over selling their wares there.

The main room also used to have shop vendors and many more ARFs, etc.

This year there were far fewer shops, etc. Many of the main room vendors were not there too...

I had hoped that things would pick up again this year... no such luck.

That's not to say nor insinuate that the show was bad or anything like that, but if you've attended prior shows, the effects of the economy are somewhat obvious.

( I couldn't find a single EDF motor/system ANYWHERE.... Shulman wasn't around. )

In spite of this, some vendors faired well. Nitroplanes sold out practically everything they brought on Friday.

The swap meet was all but gone on Saturday too!

Many of the tables remained empty on all days, and in some cases people who showed up on Friday did not come back on Saturday.
