Question about jet wagging - 4/15/2012 1:08 AM

Status: offline 		So I was out putting flight # 28 on the f-16 and I noticed some wag at high speeds, we did have a 10 mph cross wind but if I remember correctly is has always done this. Is this a thrust issue? maybe the turbine isn't in-line or could it just be winds. Only seems to do it at full throttle

Status: offline 		My old Yellow AC ducted fan F-16 did the same thing. It was much worse when the ventral fins were not attached (I often flew it without the ventral fins following low passes).
If you have the ventral fins installed and it is still doing it you might try adding a gyro to the rudder to try and dampen it a little.

both my SM 1:6 F-16's have wagged at high speed, it can be minimized with a gyro on the rudder,
that takes out most of the wagging and makes it look much better at full throttle.
