I know that a roll bar is there to protect the vitals of the vehicle and that I shouldn't so much care if it gets all scratched up because it would be doing its job, protecting the car, BUT I DO.  I hate when it gets scratched.  So I took it off, sanded and repainted it again, with some clear coat.  Then I thought, " what would work to protect this in case of roll over from scratches?"  I decided to try slitting some clear fishtank airline tubing and wrapping it over the metal.  It fits but how long it stays I don't know.  I figure at least it may hold the first time it flipped and hit the ground, giving me a chance to replace it.  How about I just buy another car and let this one sit for looks.  I just cant do it.  Anyway, what do you think?

I do, but sometimes it rolls over and the round part of the rollbar gets scratched up.  I'm anal and I hate scratches. I am looking at these pictures and nit picking the tiny bit of dirt or scratches on it now and it irritates me.  I'm messed in the head, you will come to realize that.
