I know it is a little late, but here we go again.

As some of you in NSRCA D5 & D6 already know, Pittsburg RC Club is having another contest this year.
Date of Pittsburg RC Pattern Contest has changed to June 23 & 24, 2012 at Pittsburg RC Club field, Pittsburg, KS

Contest flyer will be up soon.

Yeah, I wish I could put H on it. It is a long way from Cincinnati. I went to Cincinnati once about three years ago. It took 9 hours to drive back. That was 18 hours on Greyhound buses.

The motel that you and Joe Dunnaway stayed last year is closed/Off limit due to tornato damage last month.

I will be adding list of motels this week with contest flyer.

Contest flyer is up.

2nd picture shows red line direction to the field. Atkinson Road is under construction to put a small bridge.
I don't know why, but it's been closed for over a year now and I don't see the bridge.

So, all the traffic needs to go down to 20th street (E560th Ave) or 4th street (126 hwy) to get to Highway 69.

Here is a list of the motels in North of Pittsburg. One in South of the town got severely damaged by tornado.

This is a same copy that I sent to NSRCA mailing list.

Well, I need some inputs on pilots planning on coming to Pittsburg, KS for 6/16 & 6/17 contest.
Vince Bortone and I talked about changing our contest date to 6/23 & 6/24.

There is a contest in Tulsa, Oklahoma on 6/9 & 6/10 in D6. Since we are trying to gather more people to the contest & have many pilots from Kansas and Missouri going to Tulsa, instead of having two contests in a row, changing our contest date to 6/23 & 6/24 may be easier for pilots to stay with family for the father's day weekend.

Our club has no problem doing it. I just need inputs from those who plans on coming to Pittsburg contest if they want the contest as scheduled or move it a week after.

I am planning on being there but the 23/24 would be better since it would not be back to back. Just my .02cents

Either date would work for me, however it appears July is going to be a dead month for pattern in this area so later in June might be a better option, might not make the dead spot in July seem so long. Just my 2 cents..

Several of us from Colorado were considering coming, but we have a local contest on the 23rd/24th.
