Anyone every had something that just never seems to work in your favor? Last time I had the rc curse it was with one helicopter that I could not get the vibrations out of to save my life. Of course they ended up designing new parts for the heli but even then it was just never really perfect.
< me venting okay ewww saaaabu I need to hit the lottery and start my own design company I think. Sorry bad month, so who has a joke or funny picture!!!

The internet happened, I just get tired of not being able to go down to the hobby shop and pick something up or communicate directly. Technology in some ways is becoming a pain but its the only way to get anything in this side of the hobby.
Its bad enough being at work and not hearing about some meeting or something because I didn't check my email 1 minute ago. Hech they talk about cut backs in the military you should see the crap they wast millions on that just sit there.

nah nothing broke, the last problem after I put my gear back in was having to turn around and take the turbine out because I heard something inside the turbine! I took the turbine out and found 3mm X 8mm screw inside the front cover where the fuel lines/wire harness plugs in. No way in H@#4 it fell in I had to really work it to get it out, plus nothing in the jet uses that size bolt.

LOL whats so bad about a go around, nothing to break on that, but I came back around and made up for it with a nice smooth landing. Hey it was a 15mph crosswind I cant make all my landings look perfect
the rudder doesnt do much at low speed with this thing, I had to come in a little hot to keep the crab angle safe enough to land. Something new, it was number 28 landing for me, and 28 is a bad number for me.

Only 8mil? I would think that would be the price for just the exploratory study to see if PETA would be upset by us putting shrimp on a treadmill

Don't feel bad FB. My jets don't like me either but I got used to it. Being married with kids gets you used to people and things that don't like you

Atleast yours was just a stray bolt, that was easily removed....

I've got to replace this list of stuff in my turbine:

Nozzle Guide Vane
Turbine disc
Fod Screen
Bearings
Pre-load stuff
festo fittings
Combustion Chamber
Fuel manifold
Exhaust nozzle..

and no it wasn't in a crash! This "was" an operating turbine until about 6 months ago, and the bearings were still good at the time, but its 25hr checkup was near

Doh! I'm glad my wife finds RC boring. As far as how much this hobby costs, we go by "Don't ask don't tell"

Well you always have the option of giving up your jet.
Then you could sit on your butt in front of the tv watching football.

KC, that's probably the first time I actually did LOL.

In the short term, crack and hookers really is the better investment.

Unlucky? You heard a screw inside the turbine by chance and got to fish it before starting it and destroying it, I can say you are the luckiest guy on RCU!!!

To KC 36330, it's Colombia with an O.
