I just bought a used Fox 45 large case and ran it in my shop today to get the hang of it. 8,400 rpm on a Top Flite 13X5 running slightly rich. The 13X5 is my benchmark propeller for CL flying. What a delightful American made jem of an engine. I never paid much attention to Fox engines in my youth, but now that I am older (but not neccessarily smarter) I am discovering and falling in love with them.
Anyway - now I want to convert the engine to diesel (of course). Does anyone have a Davis head for sale by any chance?
